Cedar Point has closed for the day - a first summer day closing in more than a decade.
The culprit is a watermain break in Sandusky that leads to the park.
Authorities asked Cedar Point to close for the day out of safety concerns.
Today would have been a busy day at the park as dozens of roller coaster clubs are in Sandusky for the weekend to celebrate CoasterMania. The park was also hosting marathon rides on some of its coasters to raise money for charity.
Cedar Point has offered its guests the opportunity to use their tickets for another visit at the park or the choice to drive to Aurora and visit Wildwater Kingdom or Kings Island in Mason.
The Sandusky Register is reporting the last time the park closed unexpectedly was in 2003 when a large blackout hit the East Coast.
