Free admission for military and vets and two nights of fireworks highlight Cedar Point’s July 4th

To celebrate the Fourth of July, Cedar Point will offer free admission to active military and vets along with two nights of fireworks as a part of its "Stars and Stripes Celebration!"

Starting Monday through July 6, military personnel and vets with a valid IDs will receive free admission to the park and also to Soak City. Family members will receive a special $21 discount at the park’s admission booths.

The park will put on two nights fireworks — July 4 and July 5.

The fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. after the park’s Luminosity show. The fireworks will be over the Cedar Point Beach.

Other special attractions include the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill — the world’s largest mobile grilling machine — that will be selling brats along the Cedar Point midway next Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 4 to 6).

The park will be offering an All-American Picnic, featuring ribs, chicken, smoked pork chops, corn-on-the-cob and more, at the Midway Market Monday through July 6.

The Air Force Band of Flight – Wright Brass and Systems Go will perform in Frontiertown, near the Skyhawk, at 1 and 3 p.m. July 5.

The E Team Skydivers will perform during the National Anthem at 10 a.m. on July 4 and 5.

The Bill Leff Airshows will put on aerial displays for guests along the Cedar Point Beach at 2 p.m. July 4 and 5.

Park visitors will also have a chance to play "Cornhole with a Pro" with Matt and Bret Guy from the American Cornhole Association from 4 to 7 p.m. July 4 and 5.

A Red, White and Blue pie-eating contest will be held for adults and kids near the Town Hall Museum in Frontiertown at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. July 4 and 5.
