A beloved Cleveland tradition assured its patrons Monday night that it is not closing.
Memphis Kiddie Park said some visitors are confusing the retro kiddie park off Memphis Avenue near Tiedeman Road with a similar small park in Albany, New York that has announced it is closing.
"Retire?" the park posted on Facebook. "Hey, I thought working at Kiddie Park was retirement."
Hoffman’s Playland in Albany has announced that it is closing Sept. 14.
The family-owned park opened in 1952 with two rides and live ponies.
Over the years, it has expanded to include 13 rides including a small roller coaster, several food venues and an old-fashion arcade.
