Aeros defeat Mets 2-0 in Game One Wednesday
Akron 2, Binghamton 0 – Left-handed pitcher T.J. House tossed a seven-inning complete game and the Aeros scored a run apiece in the second and third innings to defeat the Mets in Game One of a doubleheader on a hot Wednesday night at Canal Park.
House limited the Mets (31-37) to two hits and upped his record to 5-2. He struck out four and walked two.
The Aeros (45-25) only had four hits off Mets right-handed pitcher Zack Wheeler (6-3).
Thomas Neal singled in the second inning and scored the first Aeros run following a botched double-play.
Davis Stoneburner opened the Aeros third inning with a single and scored following a Chun Chen ground out.
Juan Diaz and Chen singled for the Aeros other two hits.
