Drennen returns from suspension; Bellows out
The Akron Aeros activated outfielder John Drennen from the suspension list before Friday night’s game. Drennen was forced to sit out 50 games after testing positive for a banned substance Mid-May.
Before his suspension, Drennen was hitting .256 (30-for-117) with nine doubles, two triples, three homers and 15 RBI with the Aeros.
To make room for him on the roster, third baseman Kyle Bellows was placed on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain. The move is retroactive to July 6.
