Aeros 4, Curve 3

Key Situation: After giving up an RBI triple to put the tying run on third in the top of the ninth inning with no outs, Aeros reliever Rob Bryson shut the door on Altoona by striking out the next three batters he faced for his first save of the season.
Quick Hits: Rafael Perez threw a scoreless first inning in his first relief appearance since landing on the disabled list on April 25. Brett Bach, the scheduled starter, came on in relief to throw 3.2 innings and allowed both earned runs. Shortstop Juan Diaz tied the game in the fourth inning with a two-run bomb that even cleared the batter's eye in right-center field for his eighth home run of the season.
Next game: Altoona (44-47) RHP Phil Irwin (1-6, 3.93 ERA) vs. Aeros (54-39) LHP Giovanni Soto (5-6, 4.09 ERA), 1:05 p.m., Canal Park
