Key situation: After being held scoreless through the first six innings, The Aeros offense added fours runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Designated hitter Chun Chen began the the bottom of the seventh inning by driving a pitch to the wall and, eventually, off the glove of Erie center fielder Jamie Johnson.
With Chen on third, catcher Raul Padron singled to right field to drive in Chen and tie the score at one. After a bases loaded error allowed the Aeros to take a 2-1 lead, shortstop Juan Diaz added two more runs with an a single to right.
