Aeros drop Tuesday's Game One 6-4

By Stephanie Published: April 26, 2011

The few fans who ventured over to Canal Park for the first game of a double header Tuesday night probably figured it was not going to be the Aeros night when when starting pitcher Austin Adams didn't even make it out of the first inning.

That proved to be the case, despite the Aeros ralling for three runs in the seventh inning before Baysox closer Juan Diaz came on to halt the surge and earn his league-leading seventh save in Bowie's 6-4 victory.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Adams made it just eight batters into the first inning - allowing a three-run home run to Baysox left fielder Robbie Widlansky, three hits and three walks - before Aeros manager Chris Tremie made a slow stroll to the mound to make the early pitching change.
