The Aeros defeated the Mets 6-3 Sunday afternoon at Canal Park.

Aeros left-handed starting pitcher T.J. McFarland worked six innings and got the win. Chen-Chang Lee and Cory Burns were effective in relief.

Aeros second baseman Karexon Sanchez went 3-for-3 at bat with three singles and a walk.

The Aeros took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning after Sanchez scored when Cristo Arnal reached base on a fielder's choice.

A three-run fifth upped the Aeros advantage to 4-0. Nick Weglarz hit a two run single to score Tim Fedroff and Beau Mills, and Sanchez singled in Chen.

The Mets cut their deficit to 4-3 in the top of the seventh inning when Reese Havens, Bubba Bell and Brahiam Maldonado scored. Maldonado and Allan Dykstra each got RBI hits and Josh Satin.

The Aeros countered in the bottom of the inning with two runs to make it 6-3. Sanchez walked to lead off the inning, stole second base and scored on an Arnal single. Arnal proceeded to steal second and third base, and score on a wild pitch.
