Aeros defeat Thunder 2-1

Key Situation: The Aeros rallied from a one-run deficit with two runs on four consecutive hits in the fifth inning to win on Friday the 13th at Canal Park. Tim Fedroff and Juan Diaz both hit one-out doubles to start the comeback. Jared Goedert and Nick Weglarz then followed with singles.
Quick Hits: Aeros right-handed starting pitcher Steven Wright struggled with his command in the first inning and then settled in to toss 5 2/3 effective innings and get the win on Fireworks Night. Wright allowed one earned run in the first inning following three walks and one hit. He finished his outing with seven strikeouts, four walks and two hits on a combination of off-speed pitches. . . . Toru Murata earned a hold by tossing 1 1/3 innings and Cody Allen recorded a save by working two innings. . . . Thunder relief pitcher Preston Claiborne took the loss and starter Cory Arisbo got a no decision. 
Next Game: Trenton left-hander Josh Romanski (0-0, 2.25 ERA) and Akron left-hander Giovanni Soto (1-0, 1.80 ERA) will oppose each other on the mound at 1:05 p.m. Saturday at Canal Park.
