By Stephanie Published: May 17, 2011

Aeros outfielder John Drennen has been suspended for 50 days for testing positive for the banned substance Clomiphene, a female fertility drug taken to start ovulation.

Drennen was batting .256 in 36 games with nine doubles, two triples, three home runs and 15 RBI with the Aeros.

The left-handed hitter was the Indians sandwich pick (between the first and second rounds) and 33rd overall selection in the 2005 draft out of Rancho Bernardo High School in California.

He has spent the last three seasons with the Double-A Aeros.  The suspension begins immediately.
