Aeros press release on box office opening Thursday

The Aeros box office at Canal Park opens for in-person ticket sales beginning Thursday at 10 a.m. The team's merchandise store - Infield Outfitters - is now open to the general public.

In addition, merchandise is also now available online through the “Aeros Store” link located at


The box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday on non-game days. On Saturday home dates, the box office will open at noon and close in the seventh inning. For Sunday home dates it will open at 11 a.m. and close in the seventh inning.


Tickets may also be purchased in the team store located along South Main Street. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Sunday. On home game dates, the store will close to the public but remain open for Canal Park fans once the stadium gates open to ticketholders. On Sunday home dates, Infield Outfitters will be open for ticketholders only until the end of the game.


Aeros tickets for all 71 home games in 2013 may be purchased by phone at (330) 253-5151 or 1-800-97-AEROS, online at, or in-person at Canal Park’s box office or Infield Outfitters. Tickets range from $5 for general admission bleacher tickets, to $8 for seniors over 60 and juniors 12 and under, and $9 for regular adult tickets.




The Aeros 2013 Eastern League season kicks off on April 4 at 6:35 p.m. against the Binghamton Mets. There are several exciting promotions and events scheduled for that night.


Prior to the game from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., South Main Street will be closed in front of Canal Park from East State Street to East Buchtel Avenue for a special South Main Street Festival. The festival will include live music by “The Juke Hounds,” live entertainers such as a firebreather, juggler and stilt walkers, and beer concession sales.


Once the gates open, fans will receive a magnet schedule giveaway sponsored by Albert Guarnieri & Co. and they will be able to celebrate with the “Buck Up” Thirsty Thursday promotion sponsored by the Ohio Lottery. There will be an on-field ring and banner ceremony to honor the 2012 Eastern League championship team and following the game, fans will enjoy a special fireworks display celebrating the return of baseball.


Fans can get two free Opening Night tickets by presenting a Downtown Akron Passport from the Downtown Akron Partnership at the box office. Information is available on the passport can be found at
