The Aeros announced their schedule for the 2014 season this week.
The slate includes a seven-game road trip to open the year before the team comes home for a seven-game home stand, with Opening Day at Canal Park falling on a Thursday.
There are 11 weekend series and the Aeros will also be home for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, the final home game of the season.
New to the Double-A schedule for Akron will be four matinee games—one in April, one in June and two in July—that will have first pitches at 12:05 p.m.
"We're very excited for the 2014 season and our schedule here at Canal Park," Jim Pfander, Aeros General Manager, said in a release. "Between the new matinee games and having home games on all the major spring and summer holidays, we feel the schedule gives us a great opportunity to really connect with our wonderful fan base and the community of Akron."
