Adam Abraham's RBI-single in the 7th proved to be the game winning run as the Aeros took down Bowie 9-5 in front of over 7,000 kids in one of the team's Education Days. The game started at 10:30 a.m. to allow 16 busloads of kids to attend the game.
Abraham went 3-5 with three RBI and a double. Starter Giovanni Soto threw five scoreless innings before a three-run home run off the bat of Travis Adair and an error by Nick Weglarz tied the game at 5-5.To read more or comment...
Sixteen busloads of kids from schools all around the area have filled Canal Park, most of them in colored shirts—yellow, green or pink—to identify their school. It's one of two Education Days the Aeros have done this season.

A pair of Aeros players swept the Eastern League Weekly awards today, with third baseman Kyle Bellows earning the Player of the Week Award and starting pitcher T.J. McFarland honored as the Pitcher of the Week for the period of May 14th through May 20th.
Kyle Bellows, 23, batted .391 (9-for-23) with three doubles, three home runs, nine RBI, four runs scored, two walks and a .913 slugging percentage in six games for the Aeros last week.To read more or comment...
