Aeros split double-header with Mets

Key situations: The Aeros (45-26) split a double-header with the Mets (32-37) on a hot Wednesday at Canal Park. Left-handed pitcher T.J. House tossed a seven-inning complete game and the Aeros scored a run apiece in the second and third innings to defeat the Mets in Game One. In Game Two, the Mets scored four runs in the fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie. Kai Gronauer doubled in Juan Lagares and Dustin Martin. Pedro Zapata batted in Travis Ozga and Reese Havens singled in Zapata. 
 
Quick hits: House (5-2) limited the Mets to two hits, struck out four and walked two. The Aeros only had four hits off Mets right-handed pitcher Zack Wheeler (6-3) in Game One. Thomas Neal singled in the second and scored the first run following a botched double-play. Davis Stoneburner opened the third with a single and scored following a Chun Chen ground out. In Game Two, Mets right-hander Cory Mazzoni (1-0) tossed a seven-inning complete game for the win. He allowed five hits, one earned run, struck out four and walked one. Left-hander Francisco Jimenez (0-1) took the loss in his Aeros debut.
