Aeros use six-run seventh inning to rally past Portland

The Aeros rallied from behind Saturday night and propelled themselves to a 9-4 victory over visiting Portland with the aid of a six-run seventh inning and a solid relief outing by RHP Paolo Espino.

Aeros starter and LHP T.J. McFarland lasted just two innings, dishing up four runs - all in the second inning - on six hits to put the host behind early.

But Espino came on and quieted the Sea Dogs bats for five strong innings in which he limited Portland to just two hits en route to picking up the win. In 15 apearances (including two starts), Espino is  now 4-0 with a 2.65 ERA

The Aeros big six-run seventh inning included five hits, highlighted by 1B Beau Mills' two-run double that tied the game, 4-4 and S Juan Diaz's three-run home run that put it away for good

Former Indians INF Jason Donald went 1-for-5 with a double and run scored.
Next Game: The Aeros wrap up this series with Portland and the home stand with a 1:05 p.m. game at Canal Park...Akron LHP Kelvin De La Cruz (4-4, 4.14 ERA) is scheduled to start for the host and face Sea Dogs RHP Stephen Fife (7-3, 3.10 ERA).[ep
