Cleveland Indians infielder Jason Donald was received by the Akron Aeros on a major league rehabilitation assignment Sunday afternoon.

Donald will hit second for the Aeros this afternoon and play third base. He is expected to play about six innings as he recovers from a fractured middle finger on his left hand. Donald was struck by a pitch form Chicago White Sox left-hander John Danks during the spring.

Donald is the third member of the major league club on the Aeros current roster. Center fielder Grady Sizemore (knee) is not expected to play Sunday after playing nine innings on Saturday. Reliever Joe Smith (ab strain) is also not expected to play for the Aeros Sunday after pitching a scoreless inning Sunday.

Other Aeros roster moves: Infielder Dan DeGeorge was transfered to back to Single-A Mahoning Valley and infielder Kyle Bellows was promoted from Single-A Mahoning Valley.
