Errors lead to Aeros undoing against Trenton

Thunder 4, Aeros 3

Key Situation: A trio of errors by Aeros 2B Cristo Arnal led to three Trenton unearned runs, as the Aeros had to battle from behind but ultimately dropped their third consecutive game…Ironically, a Trenton error by 3B Addison Maruszak aided the Aeros three-run seventh.

Quick Hits: Perhaps it was nothing, but a few eyebrows were raised in the seventh inning when Aeros C Chun Chen - the Indians 22nd-best prospect according to Baseball America - was curiously lifted from the game. With major league baseball’s trading deadline looming Sunday, such a move could indicate a trade in the works. Of course, it could be nothing. Aeros and Tribe fans will find out soon enough...LF John Drennen was the only Aeros player to garner multiple hits, going 2-for-4...C Raul Padron and  3B Karexon Sanchez had the Aeros two RBI...Aeros starter and LHP T.J. McFarland limited the Thunder to just one earned run while scattering six hits and striking out six over five innings, but was tagged with the loss...Aeros RHP Tyler Sturdevant contributed three scorless innings, allowing just one hit and a walk while striking out four.

Next Game: The Aeros continue this four-game series with Trenton (New York Yankees) with Game Three tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Canal Park...Akron RHP Joe Gardner (7-7, 4.79 ERA) is scheduled to start and face Thunder LHP Manny Banuelos (3-5, 3.74 ERA).
