By Jonas Published: July 28, 2011

The Akron Aeros look to stop its losing streak at four games Thursday night when they open a four-game series against the Erie SeaWolves ( Detroit Tigers Double-A) 7:05 p.m. at Canal Park.

The four-game losing streak is a season high for the Aeros. And it’s Mustache Appreciation Night at the park. Something has to give.

Here are the starting lineups….

Erie SeaWolves (48-56)
1. Jamie Johnson, CF
2. Brandon Douglas, DH
3. Francisco Martinez, 3B
4. Bryan Pounds, 1B
5. Deik Scram, RF
6. Audy Ciriaco, SS
7. Cale Iorg, 2B
8. Justin Henry, LF
9. Bryan Holaday

Starting Pitcher: Left-hander Casey Crosby (6-4, 4.08 ERA)

Akron Aeros (54-51)
1. Jordan Henry, CF
2. Juan Diaz, SS
3. Ben Copeland, DH
4. Matt McBride, 1B
5. Raul Padron, C
6. Kyle Bellows, 3B
7. John Drennen, LF
8. Donnie Webb, RF
9. Karexon Sanchez, 2B

Starting Pitcher: Right-hander Austin Adams (6-8, 3.95 ERA)

NOTES: Crosby was considered the sixth best prospect in the Tiger’s system before the season began, according to Baseball America. The main thing holding him back is injuries. He had Tommy John surgery in 2007, missed 2008 and was strong in 2009 at Low A West Michigan (117 strikeouts in 105 innings with a 2.41 ERA). But injuries again limited him to three starts in all of 2010…Crosby is 0-2 with a 7.11 ERA against the Aeros this season….Adams is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA against Erie this year.
