Indians Grady Sizemore leading off, playing center in home finale

It’s the final home game of the season the Akron Aeros, and they have been successful on the home stand so far. They split a four-game series with Richmond and have a chance to take three of four from Reading if they win at 7:05 p.m. tonight.

The Aeros are three games back of Richmond for the Western Division Wild Card spot with five games to play. The elimination number is three. If Richmond wins tonight and Akron loses, the Aeros will be a game away from Elimination.

He finished yesterday with a two groundouts to second base and a strikeout in five innings as the designated hitter…Reading first baseman Matt Rizzotti has hit three home runs in the last two games, and yesterday, went back-to-back with Derrick Mitchell….Yesterday’s 13-inning game was the longest game of the season for the Aeros at three hours and 55 minutes….The Aeros walked 10 batters yesterday, a 2011 high.
