Here is a news release from the Akron RubberDucks concerning their home games this weekend at Canal Park.
The Akron RubberDucks announced today that there are limited tickets remaining for Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19.
Friday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Erie SeaWolves will include a world record attempt for the largest game of "Duck, Duck, Goose," as well as the Greater Akron Baseball Hall of Fame Recognition and post-game fireworks set to some of Dave Matthews Band's iconic songs.
Saturday's game is a doubleheader against the Erie SeaWolves. Gates will open at 4:00pm, with the Jake Taylor BobbleKnees giveaway handed out to the first 1,000 fans in attendance, sponsored by the Akron-Canton Airport. The first game is set to begin at 5:05 p.m. with the second beginning half an hour after the conclusion of the first. A fireworks show will follow the game and will be set to music by Journey.
"We're thrilled that fans are eager to support the RubberDucks as they're chasing first place in the division," Director of Ticketing Brian Flenner said.
Tickets are still remaining for the rest of the homestand, which goes through Wednesday, July 23. A four-game series against The Erie SeaWolves will kick off the homestand, followed by a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, who currently hold first-place in the EL West. The homestand will include promotions such as a Mascot Birthday Blowout on Sunday, Mustache Monday - "When in Rome" Ron Burgundy night on Monday and the second Big Splash Day for the special 12:05 p.m. start on Wednesday.
