The 2014 season will mark the 12th that Fox Sports 1350 has been the flagship station for the Akron RubberDucks. They have been the flagship station for all four of the franchise’s Eastern League Championships, beginning in the first year of the partnership in 2003.

“The RubberDucks are excited to extend our agreement with Fox Sports 1350. They have proved to be an excellent partner and the go-to destination for everything Akron RubberDucks on the radio. This agreement will strengthen help us connect with the community and get the word out that Canal Park is Akron’s home of affordable, family fun,” said Jim Pfander, Akron RubberDucks General Manager.

“We're excited to extend our partnership with an organization that celebrates and enhances the Downtown Akron experience,” said Keith Kennedy, regional programming manager, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. “Listening to 1350 on iHeartRadio, baseball fans across the country will hear and feel the excitement of Canal Park and Downtown Akron, Ohio."

The 2014 season will be the third for the broadcast team of Jim Clark and Dave Wilson on Fox Sports 1350.

It will be the 22nd season for Clark as “The Voice of the RubberDucks.” He started with the franchise in 1990 when it was the Canton-Akron Indians (1990, 1992-94) and has been behind the microphone all 17 years since the team moved to Canal Park in 1997. For the past 32 years, Clark has also served as the sports information director at Walsh University, where he has broadcasted basketball games for all 32 years and 19 years of football. In addition, he has worked for WAKR radio and Akron’s TV-23, as well as broadcasting for Time-Warner for LeBron James’ senior season at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.

Wilson returns for his third season in the RubberDucks broadcast booth, and will once again call all 142 games on Fox Sports 1350. The 2014 season will be Wilson's 18th in professional baseball. He has called over 2,000 games at all full-season levels of the minor leagues, including three years in Louisville, Kentucky, and four years with the Lake County Captains in Eastlake, Ohio. In the baseball off-season, Wilson does television play-by-play of high school sports for SportsTime Ohio and Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. He also does radio play-by-play for Kent State University women's basketball and Case Western Reserve football. A resident of Northeast Ohio since 2002, Wilson ranks Akron's 2012 EL championship as his favorite sportscasting memory.

The Akron RubberDucks are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 2014 season will be its 18th since moving to Canal Park and its first since becoming the RubberDucks. The team begins its season on April 3 at Binghamton and the home opener at Canal Park is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 at 6:35 p.m. against the Bowie Baysox.
