The Aeros take on the Trenton Thunder this afternoon at Canal Park in the second game of a three-game series. Trenton took Game One, 7-4 by breaking open a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the ninth inning off Aeros closer Cory Burns.
* Matt McBride's fourth-inning home run was his third homer in as many games, giving him four longballs on the season. The last Aeros player to hit a home run in four consecutive games was current Akron outfielder John Drennen (Sept. 5th through 9th in 2009). McBride is batting .245 in 28 games so far this season with four doubles, nine RBI and 13 runs scored.
* The Thunder are an aggressive base-running team. They lead the Eastern League with 35 stolen bases this season. Five of those came in Friday's game, marking the second-most in a game this season against the Aeros. The Baysox stole six bases against Akron on April 20 at Bowie.
