Key situation: The Sea Dogs runs were earned, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t scored curiously. A single by rightfielder Chih-Hsien Chiang with two runners on in the top of the first scored the Sea Dogs first run.
The second runner, Tony Thomas, stopped at third base as Aeros right fielder Tim Fedroff threw the ball into pitcher Austin Adams. Adams threw the ball to first baseman Beau Mills, who had Chiang caught up between first and second.
As Mills threw to shortstop Jason Donald and Donald threw the ball back to Mills to get Chiang, Thomas ran home to score the Sea Dogs second run.
The Sea Dogs added their third run on a wild pitch, allowing Reynaldo Rodriguez to score from third in the fourth inning, breaking a 2-2 tie.
After the Aeros tied it at three in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Jordan Henry, Sea Dogs scored the games final run on a two-out RBI double by Jorge Pradon in the sixth.
