Ducks split doubleheader with visiting Trenton, shut out 1-0 in Game Two

The Ducks took a 1-0 loss in Game Two of their doubleheader split with visiting Trenton, being shut out by Thunder starter Zach Nuding on a complete-game, two-hit shutout. 

The right-hander was in control from the start, walking just one batter while striking out five to improve to 1-0 with a 2.89 ERA on the young season. Nuding’s standout performance overshadowed another solid effort by Ducks pitcher Joe Colon

Ducks take Game One of dobuleheader against visiting Thunder, 4-3

Cody Anderson, the Ducks starting pitcher Wednesday afternoon, warmed up quite a bit the previous night before the game was postponed due to snowy and cold weather.

Thus, it was questionable whether the right-hander would start the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader or be bumped back for added rest. Ultimately, it was decided the big 6-foot-4, 220-pounder would go ahead and take the mound Wednesday for the 12:05 p.m. start, but he ended up struggling in the brief outing.

Aeros announce season crowd of more than 295,000

An average of 4,220 fans per game, it's the highest attendance figure for a season since 2009 (316, 836).
