Left-Wing Wikileakers

By Da King Published: November 30, 2010

The founder of the Wikileaks website is a left-wing anti-war guy named Julian Assange. He has made public hundreds of thousands of classified U.S. documents. His first round of military document releases a few months ago identified hundreds of Afghan civilian informants who were assisting the U.S. against the Taliban and Al Qaeda, putting those informants' lives in danger. Nice going, moron. A couple days ago, we had another round of classified document releases from Wikileaks, consisting of diplomatic cables, such as the one where Hillary Clinton asked American diplomats to spy on foreign ambassadors at the United Nations and collect their private information. You can bet that's going to do wonders for international diplomacy, as will the destabilizing Middle East Wikileaks revelation that the Saudis wanted the United States to blow up Iran's nuclear plants.

The source of the leaks to left-wing Wikileaks is alleged to be Pfc. Bradley Manning, a gay activist who supports progressive causes and listed The Rachel Maddow Show as his favorite television program on Facebook (no wonder the guy is confused), according to militarycorruption.com. Manning was arrested after he told computer hacker Adrian Lamo he was the one responsible for the leaks.

American Exceptionalism

By Da King Published: November 28, 2010

It's fashionable among left-wingers to degrade America and Americans. They call us imperialist warmongers, capitalist pigs, exploiters of the poor, racists, religious nuts, uneducated hicks, etc, etc. It seems there is no end to their criticism and hatred of this country. They probably started cringing when I titled this post 'American Exceptionalism,' because they simply don't believe it, in spite of all the facts to the contrary. It's really quite disgusting when you consider America's place in the world, and the contribution America has made to the world. The following video explains a few of those contributions, and explains some of the American values that brought those contributions into being:

Alright Already, Let's Raise Warren Buffet's Taxes

By Da King Published: November 27, 2010

Mega-billionaire Warren Buffett keeps saying mega-billionaire Warren Buffett should pay more in taxes. He has said it several times already, and said it again to Christiane Amanpour on ABC's This Week - "People at the high end, people like myself, should be paying more taxes” intoned Buffett. Here's a video of Buffett's comments:

Wedded Brits And Lame Ducks

By Da King Published: November 24, 2010

Today's top news story comes from across the pond, where a new Royal We is in the making. I normally wouldn't comment on such an event, but I hear from the media it's the wedding of the century, therefore I feel compelled. I only hope I have my facts straight. In jolly old England, Prince Wilbur, the Lord of the Whales, is marrying a commoner, Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney street flower girl. The blessed union will take place next April, when the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family will take time off from their busy hand waving and fox hunting schedules to attend the excessive display of Pomp And Circumstance at the Westminster Kennel Club. Every media outlet known to mankind will also be in attendance. Both the Royal Family and the papparazzi are said to be absolutely thrilled. Wilbur's father, Prince Bonnie Ray Charles, who is the other Lord of the Whales as well as the Duke Of Peterframptonsonchestershireville, was so elated that he gave the marriage a resounding "it's about time," followed by a hearty "tally ho." As for the media, Michado Abootnuttin of the National Taint assured the public that the papparazzi could and would harass the happy couple relentlessly until they both go stark raving mad, thus ensuring yet more sensationalist tabloid trash at your nearest supermarket checkout aisle in the near future. "Think Lady Di," said Abootnuttin. "It's money in the bank." I'm pretty sure this Lady Di of whom Abootnuttin speaks was that great black jazz singer from the 1940's who got hooked on drugs. A tragic tale. Here's to wishing Miss Doolittle a far better future.

In other blockbuster wedding news, my knocked up ex-sister-in-law might get married again next year at the city courthouse. No papparazzi is expected to cover the event, but I hear there will be a kegger at her boyfriend's house after the ceremony. Bring a covered dish.

Now back to my usual programming.

TSA And Your Junk

By Da King Published: November 22, 2010

This is going to be a short post, because the solution to this issue is so obvious.

Here's TSA on the job:
- After 9/11, airline passengers were forbidden to carry sharp objects.
- After the shoe bomber, airline passengers had to take off their shoes.
- After the underwear bomber, airline passengers have to undergo full body scans and pat-downs of their private parts.
- After the recent cargo bombs, the TSA decided they should scan cargo.

Gitmo Detainee Convicted On One Charge Out Of 280

By Da King Published: November 18, 2010

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani is an Al Qaida terrorist. He took part in the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings that killed hundreds of people. He was the first Gitmo detainee tried in civilian court, Attorney General Eric Holder's test case. Yesterday, Ghailani's trial in New York City ended. Ghailani was convicted on only one charge out of the 280 charges brought against him. He was not convicted of a single murder. He was convicted only of conspiracy to destroy property. This murdering son of a b*tch nearly went free because the Obama administration chose to try him in civilian court rather than the military tribunal system Congress approved to try international terrorists as enemy combatants. I sincerely hope this near disaster puts an end to the debate, and that Ghailani is the last high-level Gitmo detainee tried in civilian court.

Ghailani and his lawyers claimed Ghailani was an innocent dupe of Al Qaida operatives. Lest anyone should be tempted to believe that steaming pile, allow me to provide some background on this guy.

Shazzam ! Unitary Executive Back In Style

By Da King Published: November 17, 2010

Way, way back in the beforetimes, when Bush was the President, liberal groups like the Center For American Progress (CFAP) were wailing and gnashing their teeth over the rise of a neo-American dictatorship because President Bush used his executive powers to fight terrorism. CFAP referred to this as "abuses of power based on the sham "unitary executive" concept." Liberals were certain Bush's use of the unitary executive concept during wartime signaled the end of our democratic state.

But that was then, when the President was a [shiver] Republican. Everything is all hopey-changey different now that the President is a [hurrah!] Democrat. Just ask the head of the CFAP, John Podesta. From the Dailly Caller:

The Preliminary Deficit Commission Report

By Da King Published: November 11, 2010

We finally have a preliminary report from Obama's Deficit Commission, and...it doesn't eliminate the deficit. Well, shucks. What it does do is propose $4 trillion in deficit reduction over 10 years (Obama's budgets are projected to add $9-10 trillion in debt over 10 years). The Deficit Commission is proposing $2 trillion in spending cuts, $1 trillion in tax increases, means-testing Social Security, and raising the Social Security retirement age to 69 by the year 2075 (and it's rumored Republicans want to completely eliminate Social Security by the year 2457, so watch out for those evil sob's).

Jake Tapper of ABC News has a rundown of the Deficit Commission report, as follows:

White House Doubletalk On Bush Tax Cuts

By Da King Published: November 9, 2010

President Obama once said "words matter." However, when it comes to discussions of extending the Bush tax cuts, the White House seems to believe doubletalk matters. We keep hearing from the White House how extending the Bush tax cuts will "cost" the government so much money. Nonsense. Extending the Bush tax cuts won't "cost" the government anything, it will only keep tax rates exactly the same as they have been for a decade. If we use the White House's definition of the word "cost," then all of us taxpayers are "costing" the government tons of money by not handing over 100% of our wages to the government. If we all stepped up and became part of the deal, to paraphrase VP Joe Biden, and coughed up all our earnings, we could surely balance the federal budget. Unfortunately, none of us would be able to feed, house, and clothe ourselves.

Obama and his Superfriends are confused about "cost." Tax cuts don't "cost" anybody anything. The government itself is the cost.

The Monday After

By Da King Published: November 8, 2010

Followup to last post - MSNBC is reinstating Keith Olbermann on tuesday. Because my blogger pal the Reverend blamed Olbermann's suspension on Fox News (I'm not kidding)), be sure to check the Reverend's blog, where he should be thanking Fox News for getting Olby back on the air.

In related failure news, Nancy Pelosi is running for House minority leader. Advice for House Democrats - get a clue and choose someone more popular, capable, and honest, like Maxine Waters (D-CA) or Charlie Rangel (D-NY)....only after their ethics trials are concluded, of course. Btw, Democrats, nice move scheduling those trials AFTER the elections. Maybe now the lame duck Dems will get their act together and pass the budget that was due two months ago, as well as deal with the expiring Bush tax cuts. With such integrity, not to mention their party-over-country attitude, it's hard to fathom how the Democrats lost so many elections last week. Or not.

Olbermann Suspended For Ethics Violations...Ethics ? What Stinkin' Ethics ?

By Da King Published: November 6, 2010

When I first heard MSNBC had suspended Keith Olbermann indefinitely for ethics violations because Olbermann donated some money to the political campaigns of Democrats, I thought I was reading a fake news story from the Onion News Network. This had to be a joke. When I realized it was real, I wondered - why is MSNBC suddenly concerned with Olbermann's ethics now, after all the ethics-free years Olby has already spent at MSNBC ? I thought perhaps MSNBC executives had watched MSNBC's unprofessional and biased election coverage tuesday night, in which MSNBC got hammered in the ratings as usual (Fox News was the highest rated station with 7 million viewers. MSNBC was in last place with 2 million), and decided maybe it was time to pull the plug on it's Olbermann-led masturbatory liberal nighttime funhouse.

Then I realized that wasn't it at all. The truth was something far more bizarre and Onionesque - MSNBC ACTUALLY BELIEVES OLBERMANN IS A JOURNALIST, and is trying to hold him to (lol) journalistic standards. Here is MSNBC's stated policy on it's "journalists" donating to political campaigns:

Democrats Spanked, Sent To Room

By Da King Published: November 3, 2010

Consider Obama refudiated.

I'm breathing a sign of relief today. President Obama and the Democrats unchecked grasp on the reins of power has been stopped. Good job, America. Republicans racked up historic wins in these elections, taking control of the House, wresting governorships and state legislatures away from Democrats, and erasing the Dems huge advantage in the Senate. The champagne dreams of the liberal elite to control every aspect of our lives is now officially on hold. If for no other reason, we can celebrate the fact that there will be no disastrous cap-and-trade scheme looming on the horizon to wreak havoc on our economy, drive more jobs away, and further impoverish our citizenry.
