How To Stop Crazy People

By Da King Published: January 10, 2011

The senseless and tragic shooting of eighteen people by the 22-year old, mentally unstable Jared Lee Loughner has left six dead and twelve wounded. It appears the target of Loughner's insanity was Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), who remains in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. I'm sure I reflect the feelings of everyone when I wish Giffords the very best and a complete recovery. May God be with her.

When I first heard of this tragedy, my initial reaction was shock and sadness. Secondary to that was my hope that nobody would attempt to reap base political gain from this grisly event, regardless of what the motivations of the shooter turned out to be. Fat chance.

From what I've heard from the media so far, the blame for this mass murder lies with....Sarah Palin ? I only wish I was kidding. You see, Palin published a map targeting Democratic districts she thought the GOP could win in 2010. The districts on the map were targeted with pictures of crosshairs. One of those targeted districts was that of Gabrielle Giffords. Now, Democrats have also published "targeted" maps with bullseyes on them, and left-winger Markos Moulitsas of DailyKos also "targeted" Giffords for defeat in 2010 (she is a Blue Dog Democrat, and Moulitsas doesn't like those kind), but what Democrats and Moulitsas do is apparently irrelevant to the media, because, you know,...they aren't right wingers. It's nuanced, or something (with a fecal aroma).

Anyone who isn't crazy knows that Palin was only "targeting" Giffords for defeat at the polls. It's absurd to suggest Palin was advocating violence. All non-crazy folk know this beyond a shadow of a doubt, but there's the rub. Jared Lee Loughner IS crazy. He is arguably even crazier than the liberal media types who thought Palin was advocating violence with her map.

For the last couple days, there has been a nonstop stream of Democrats on television urging people to tone down their political rhetoric, because some nut like Loughner might take it the wrong way. Of course, these Democrats aren't talking about their own political rhetoric, they are talking about the political rhetoric of their opponents (see: politicial gain). These Democrats want the GOP and the Tea Party to tone down their "violent" rhetoric. A bit of instruction is needed here to clarify what constitutes violent vs. non-violent rhetoric according to liberals. For example, when President Obama calls Republicans "enemies", or when he says of the GOP "If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun", that is NON-VIOLENT rhetoric. On the other hand, when Palin says the GOP must "reload" to win the next election, that is VIOLENT rhetoric. Most of you will not see a whit of difference between these two examples, but remember, you are NOT crazy. You are sane, therefore you can't judge how a crazy person will react. Liberals can judge how a crazy person will react, having first person knowledge of craziness. Therefore, we must defer to the crazies on this matter. They know their own.

In response to Palin's map, the crazy train made another stop this morning, when Rep. Robert Brady (D-PA) said he would introduce legislation making it illegal to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress (a thinly veiled shot at Palin. Oops, sorry. I shouldn't have said "shot". Some crazy person might be reading this). If only Brady had passed that legislation earlier, maybe Palin could have been imprisoned for her "crime", and eighteen people would be...still shot by a crazy man in Arizona.

We do have some preliminatry information about the killer, Jared Lee Loughner. His beliefs are quite a convoluted jumble of things, just what you'd expect from someone who is unhinged. To unhinged liberals, it all screams "TEA PARTIER" from the rooftops. Here's what we know...

- A former classmate said Loughner was "obviously very disturbed", and "disrupted class frequently with nonsensical outbursts". Loughner was kicked out of school.

- Another classmate described Loughner as a "left wing pothead".

- Loughner posted a video on his YouTube page descriing America as a terrorist nation. The video showed a flag burning and was accompanied by heavy metal music with the lyrics "let the bodies pile up".

- Listed among Loughner's favorite books on his YouTube page was The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf. Also listed were Animal Farm and Brave New World. (I'm only listing the ones with direct political content. The Wizard Of Oz was also on the list, as was, prophetically, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest).

- Loughner had an occult-like altar shrine with a replica of a human skull in his backyard.

- Loughner posted incoherent videos about mind control online.

Not seeing the Tea Party connection yet ??? Don't worry, I'm not finished.

- Loughner posted anti-government ramblings online and may have been a member of an anti-government extremist group that was anti-immigration and anti-semitic (this is the ONLY part of his profile that has been spotlighted by our illustrious mainstram media on the television).

Ding, Ding, Ding !!!! Anti-immigration and anti-government !!! Ding, Ding, Ding !!!! That means Tea Partier !!! All unhinged liberals can draw their final conclusion and stop thinking NOW. All previous non-Tea Partier info will be summarily dismissed, of course.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said Loughner has made death threats before, though not against Rep. Giffords. He had been contacted by law enforcment officials previously. We also have these quotes from Loughner on Myspace:

- "WOW! I'm glad i didn't kill myself. I'll see you on National T.v.! This is foreshadow .... why doesn't anyone talk to me?.." he posted on MySpace Dec. 14.

- On Dec. 13, he wrote: "I don't feel good: I'm ready to kill a police officer! I can say it."

And on YouTube:

"I know who's listening: Government Officials, and the People. Nearly all the people, who don't know this accurate information of a new currency, aren't aware of mind control and brainwash methods. If I have my civil rights, then this message wouldn't have happen."

"In conclusion, my ambition - is for informing literate dreamers about a new currency; in a few days, you know I'm conscience dreaming! Thank you!"

Loughner had a previous conviction for drug possession.

Clearly, this guy was mentally disturbed, and those who wish to draw some wider political conclusion from this mentally disturbed person, much less use him for some sort of sick political gain, will get no respect from me. They deserve no respect. They don't even merit a response, even though I suppose this is one. They are scumbags, pure and simple.

You want to know how to stop crazy people ? Tune out the mainstream (liberal) media and ignore the unhinged liberal websites. They are nothing but a pack of liars. They are jackals tearing at the corpses of the dead to gain a political edge, and they are disgusting.

Political speech is maybe our most important right, and it shall not be infringed. Say a prayer for the wounded instead.

P.S. - For a perfect example of what I'm talking about here, go read the Reverend's unhinged liberal take on this subject at the Blog Of Mass Destruction on He is our resident jackal.
