Rehab This

By Da King Published: November 29, 2007

Following is an excerpt from last night's CNN/YouTube Republican presidential debate. This part didn't get any coverage from our mainstream media, which instead reported on the REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF, like where Rudy accused Mitt of of running a "sanctuary mansion", or where Fred poked a little fun at the other boys in his video. Just crackerjack, our media. I can't say often enough what a wonderful job they do. 'Up next on CNN, Britney drives her car'.

More CNN Plants At Republican Debate

By Da King Published: November 29, 2007

CNN is unbelievable. I reported on their planted Democratic activists in my Ordinary People, Undecided Voters post, where all the questions from "undecided voters" during the Democratic presidential debates were really softball planted questions from Democratic operatives and activists, but CNN has gone a step further. Last night, they planted a bunch more Democrats to ask the Republican candidates questions during the CNN/You Tube debate. Michelle Malkin has a good story on it. This is definitely worth reading.

Easing Bubba's Conscience

By Da King Published: November 28, 2007

Ex-prez Bill Clinton, stumping in Iowa for the would be next-prez, his wife Hillary, re-created a little history yesterday. That's not an unusual thing for a Clinton to do, pretty normal really, but this one was notable. Here's the statement Bubba made, according to the Washington Post:

Ordinary People, Undecided Voters

By Da King Published: November 27, 2007

The CNN Democratic presidential debate was a highly choreographed, controlled, and censored setup masquerading as free and open inquiry. The section of the debate where the "public" got to ask questions of the candidates was the phoniest part. The public, introduced by Wolf Blitzer as "ordinary people" and "undecided voters", was a collection of Democratic activists representing various factions of the Democratic party. Check out the following links for the details about who these people were. None of them was identified as to who they really were.

UN Clueless About Iran's Nukes

By Da King Published: November 24, 2007

Thank goodness we have the United Nations organization to keep peace in the world. They have done a masterful job, haven't they ? The UN's atomic watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been investigating Iran's nuclear program for 4 years now. What have they found ? Heck, they don't know, because Iran hasn't been cooperating. Strange behavior for a country that claims to have nothing to hide, isn't it ? I remember Saddam Hussein playing the same cat and mouse games with the UN for over 10 years. That didn't turn out so well for Saddam, but it didn't have anything to do with the UN. The UN is good for passing resolutions and making strongly worded statements (especially against Israel), but that's pretty much it. When it comes to actually enforcing anything, the UN is about as useful as screen doors on a submarine.

Happy Thanksgiving !

By Da King Published: November 22, 2007

You are supposed to feel guilty today, you know. We all want to celebrate Thanksgiving, because most of us realize we have a lot to be thankful for, but protesters remind us that the original Thanksgiving wasn't followed up by many more good times for the Indians, I mean, Native Americans, while other protesters tell us that killing turkeys isn't such a good thing either. So humanocentric. Maybe we should listen to PETA and eat some tofurkey instead, whatever that is. Plus, eating all that food will make us fat and lead to health problems, overburdening our health care system and causing us to miss work, decreasing productivity.

Hey, Did You Know Mitt Romney's A Mormon ?

By Da King Published: November 19, 2007

Of course you did. How could you not ? The mainstream media won't let you forget it. They can barely mention Mitt's name without telling you about his weird Mormon religion. They are such wonderful journalists, aren't they ? Top notch professionals (as in 'the world's oldest profession'). Lord knows, we don't want any icky Mormons as president of the United States (the unspoken reason for the constant mention of Mitt's Mormon-osity). He'd probably appoint the entire Osmond family to his cabinet. You know how those Mormons stick together. All that singing would be so-o-o distracting. Plus, Mitt's a Republican. From Massachusetts, no less, a state which everyone knows is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kennedys. So, who does this Romney character think he is, moving in on Kennedy turf like that ? This has to be one weird bird, this guy. One uppity Mormon. What else could we possibly need to know about him ? I mean, really. Oh yeah ! Romney also changed his position on the totally non-controversial issue of abortion (now he's one of those wack jobs who thinks we SHOULDN'T kill babies), so you know he's no darned good. Let's send him back to Utah where he belongs, along with his six wives, or however many he has. The White House is for Christian Christians, not Mormon Christians.

Paul Krugman Has Me All Shook Up

By Da King Published: November 18, 2007

The Akron Beacon Journal printed an editorial by New York Times columnist Paul Krugman in the sunday newspaper. The column was called Obama, played for a sucker like many in the Beltway. I've always been confused by Krugman, one reason being that he is a professor of Economics at Princeton University, but nothing he writes about economics ever makes any economic sense. You'd think even liberal Economists would be able to add and subtract, but not Krugman. His latest column is a case in point.

Miscellaneous Leftology

By Da King Published: November 18, 2007

Quote of the week: “There is something profoundly wrong—something that should trouble all of us—when we have elected Democratic officials who seem more worried about how the Bush administration might respond to Iran’s murder of our troops, than about the fact that Iran is murdering our troops.” —Sen. Free The Oklahoma Three

By Da King Published: November 16, 2007

Paul Jacob is american political activist, radio commentator, and writer. He has a Libertarian political philosophy, and has been outspoken in favor of term limits and limited government, and against things like the abuse of eminent domain that was spawned by the disastrous Kelo v New London Supreme Court decision, which has led to government taking land from citizens and handing it over to monied private developers, as clear a case of unconstitutional judicial activism and abrogation of civil rights as can be found. Jacob is also head of the Citizens In Charge foundation.

A Waste Of Time And Money

By Da King Published: November 16, 2007

For me, the main purpose of the Democratic debate last night was comic relief. Who cares if the Hollywood writers are on strike and we can't listen to John Stewart or David Letterman tell dumb jokes ? Those writers aren't nearly as funny as the podium posers running for president on the donkey ticket, and when you read about the debate coverage today, all you will hear about is how well Hillary did on the attack-o-meter scale. I guarantee you won't hear much about policy issues, and you won't hear anything in depth. Our media doesn't do 'in depth'. They do sound byte. That's why the debaters only get 30 seconds to answer. 'In depth' isn't even allowed. That's a total ratings snooze, dude. How B-O-R-I-N-G. This isn't political debate, it's infotainment. It's a reality game show. Who had the best one liners ? Who got dissed ? Who scored points ? Who fell on his face ? Who should we vote off the island ? As for CNN (the Cutesy News Network), could they have found more ways to bring up driver's licenses for illegals ? You'd think that was the number one issue on the minds of the american public from the way they went on and on about it, but I doubt if any of us even thought much about it until it became the new hot topic at the last Democratic pseudo-debate. Offhand, I can think of about a hundred issues that are way more important (but not with as much potential for a real catfight onstage. Maybe Jerry Springer should have moderated).

The Greatest Snow On Earth

By Da King Published: November 15, 2007

Back in the days of ancient Rome, unusual weather was seen as a sign that the Gods were angry. Now, a couple thousand years later, after much scientific progress, unusual weather is attributed to a slight increase in a minor greenhouse gas that makes up 0.03% of the atmosphere. On the whole, I think the ancient Romans made a better case, at least so far.

From The Frying Pan Into The Fire

By Da King Published: November 14, 2007

The country is $9 trillion in debt, a tribute to the federal government's boundless capacity to spend our hard-earned taxpayer dollars. Thanks a bunch, politicians. Can you imagine raking in $3 trillion every year and still needing MORE to make ends meet ? That's exactly the federal government's story. Hard to fathom that. Some of us blame it on the Democrats (rightfully), and others blame it on the Republicans (rightfully). We can blame it on anyone we like, but that doesn't change our situation one iota. If we don't do something about this $9 trillion, pretty soon we could be talking about REAL money (rimshot).

Vive le Sarkozy !

By Da King Published: November 10, 2007

Nicolas Sarkozy, president of France, gave his 'america can count on France' speech in front of Congress on November 7th. In this speech, we saw a French man who seems to understand the promise and greatness of America a whole lot better than many of our own politicians, including the couple who were standing directly behind Sarkozy as he spoke (shown in the previous link). As those politicians engage in endless partisan bickering and power games of cynical and dishonest one-upmanship, here comes Sarkozy to state what too many of us have forgotten: America is the leader of the free world. If we abandon that mantle, the entire world suffers for it. Freedom doesn't happen by accident. It happens on purpose. It doesn't happen through limp wristed passivity and equivocation in the face of evil. It happens by taking a firm stand against that evil. I urge everyone to read the entire speech, because you sure won't hear it from our sad excuse for a media.

Debate Questions For Hillary

By Da King Published: November 10, 2007

Former rapist-in-chief Bill Clinton implied his wife was swift-boated by her Democratic colleagues and the Democratic moderators during the last presidential debate. Has the Clintons endless charade worn out it's welcome yet ? It sure has with me. This nonsense is way beyond old. First, Hillary plays the 'but I'm just a girl and the boys are ganging up on me' card, and then, realizing she was portraying herself as weak by doing that, which is not a desirable quality for a president, she changed that into 'they are ganging up on me because I'm winning'. Hillary got so shook up by the quizzical stares and looks of slackjawed amazement she received in response to her contradictory answers to the driver's licenses for illegals question, that she's taken about 4 different positions on the issue. Two more and she'll match the number of positions she's taken on the Iraq war. Hillary's 'vast experience' is a myth, just like the 'vast right-wing conspiracy' was. She doesn't even have a position on Social Security yet. She wants to appoint a blue-ribbon commission to study it, the quintissential non-answer of the hack politician, as if the SS ponzi scam is some big freaking mystery. It also seems she came up with her 'new' health care solution straight off of the John Edwards website, which Edwards has mentioned more than once. The woman's answers are so scripted that I think they should bring in Angelina Jolie to play Hillary's part in future debates. At least then, the media could generate some interest in the cleavage for real.

Water-Bored

By Da King Published: November 7, 2007

We've been listening to the Senate politicize the waterboarding issue for quite awhile now. Both Democrats and Republicans have been hitting Attorney General nominee Mukasey over the head with the issue, all because Mukasey said he wasn't familiar with the waterboarding technique and thus couldn't form an opinion as to whether it was torture or not, though Mukasey condemned torture. It seems all the major windbags on the Hill have had their say about it. Now we even have citizens waterboarding themselves in protest (For the record, I volunteer to waterboard Harry Reid, as a patriotic duty).

A Tale Of Two Hillary's

By Da King Published: November 3, 2007

I almost feel sorry for Hillary Clinton, at least as sorry as I can feel for a soulless calculating socialist political chameleon who would say or do anything to be elected president of the United States. On foreign policy, for instance, she is caught between what she knows is the correct policy, and the one that will placate the left (aka, the 'dumber than hell' policy). The result is a political schizophrenia that has left her open to the kind of beating she took in the last Democratic presidential debate. Hillary literally tailors her comments to the voting bloc to whom she is speaking, and hopes nobody will notice the discrepancy. Look at her policy regarding Iran. In february of 2007, speaking in front of a pro-Israeli audience, Hillary said the following:

Throwing Hillary A Change-up

By Da King Published: November 2, 2007

Every time an election rolls around, we hear about 'change'; how this candidate or that candidate respresents change. It's the perpetual cry of the politician. The prospective electee never wants to be considered a Washington insider or a member of the status quo, because everyone in america, even those who don't follow politics at all, knows one thing for sure about the government: it's all fouled up. Yet somehow, with a sea of new candidates representing 'change' being elected to political office year after year, nothing ever seems to change very much. For my entire life, all the government has done is get bigger and bigger, and thus, worse and worse. The bigger the bureaucracy gets, the worse it gets. It's axiomatic and certain.
