Tax Cuts For The Rich ?

"Many of you are well enough off that [President Bush's] tax cuts may have helped you" - Hillary Clinton, June 2004

BUSH IS ONLY OUT FOR HIS RICH BUDDIES. BUSH HAD THOSE TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH. THE DEMOCRATS ARE FOR THE WORKING PEOPLE. DEMOCRATS ARE FOR THE LITTLE GUY.

You've heard that stuff over and over and over and over and over and ov.......well, you get my drift. You've heard it a lot. It is constantly drummed into you by the Democrats and their pet media.

Almost all Democrats believe it, and a whole lot of the rest of you believe it too. Why wouldn't you ? Those media types wouldn't lie to you, would they ? They are all, like, professional and stuff, dress nicely, and they are on television to boot. They are very honest and trustworthy, right ?

Wrong. They are lying like hell. Let's examine the real data, the numbers from the IRS tax tables and see who is REALLY helping the little guy, the middle class, the working class. I guarantee you won't hear about this from Hillary Clinton. Following is a comparison of individual income tax rates and taxes payable from the years 1999, under the Democratic Clinton administration, and 2008, under the Republican Bush administration.

Taxable wages
===============
Single making 8K - 1999 Clinton tax $1,200, 2008 Bush tax $800
Single making 30K – 1999 Clinton tax $8,400, 2008 Bush tax $4,500
Single making 50K – 1999 Clinton tax $14,000, 2008 Bush tax $12,500
Single making 75K – 1999 Clinton tax $23,250, 2008 Bush tax $18,750
Married making 60K – 1999 Clinton tax $16,800, 2008 Bush tax $9,000
Married making 75K – 1999 Clinton tax $21,000, 2008 Bush tax $18,750
Married making 125K – 1999 Clinton tax $38,750, 2008 Bush tax $31,250

Here's a link to the historical federal income tax tables, if you want to check the numbers yourself.

There's the truth. Any questions ? I think it's pretty apparent who's for the middle class and who isn't.

Also, taxation during the last few Clinton years was the highest in the history of the country, both absolutely and when figured as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and both Clinton 2.0 and Obama have plans for boatloads of new spending, and thus boatloads of new taxation. If any of you think that will help the little guy prosper down the road, you are sadly mistaken. The destiny of the country is in your hands, voters. Choose wisely.

Btw, voters, you are going to keep hearing a whole lot about Bush driving up the debt, which is a very valid criticism of the Bush administration. That has been a function of federal spending, which is spiraling out of control (abetted by Bush). However, don't forget that Bush isn't running for president in 2008. Don't be fooled into voting for outright economic insanity as a backlash against a lame duck president's mistakes. Please pick the person most likely to right our economic ship, and don't pick a person who will tax and spend this country into a head-on economic collision at 100mph, the likes of which this country has never seen. We cannot tax our way to prosperity from where we are now. We can only tax ourselves into third world poverty from here. Let's keep the tax cuts in place, drastically cut spending, pay down the debt, and restore some sanity, so we won't be leaving our children up the creek. We owe them that much. Find the candidate who will do that, vote for him/her, and leave him/her in office until all this craziness is corrected.
