Reason.TV At the Stewart Rally

By Da King Published: October 31, 2010

I was going to write a whole parody of the Jon Stewart rally, in the same parody style as the left wrote about the national Tea Party rallies. For example, I'd severely underestimate the crowd size, pick out a few crazy signs and then pretend they represented the whole of the rally, find a stupid statement or two made by rally speakers and then pretend those statements represented the views of the whole, find a stupid statement made by someone in the crowd and then pretend that statement is what the rally was REALLY all about, point out that most of the rally attendees were white, find a Nazi reference and pretend it represented some ominous threat of coming violence, etc, etc.

In other words, I was going to do what the left does and present propaganda as fact. The only difference was, I would be consciously engaging in satire, while the purpose of the left is to mislead intentionally. The left never even realizes they are satirizing themselves.

Election Winners, Campaign Cash, Comedians

By Da King Published: October 28, 2010

RealClearPolitics has projected the likely election winners in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Here are the results:

The current makeup of the Senate is 59 Democrats and 41 Republicans. With 36 Senate seats up for grabs in this election, RealClearPolitics has forecast the new Senate as consisting of 49 Democrats, 45 Republicans, and 6 races still a toss-up. The GOP could take the Senate, but it's a longshot. It's almost a certainty that the Democrats will lose a lot of ground.

The Incredible Reinvention Of Barney Frank

By Da King Published: October 27, 2010

One of the mysteries of this election cycle is how Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) could possibly be leading his congressional opponent, Sean Bielat (R-MA), by 13 points in the polls. I confess I know next to nothing about Bielat, but I do know a lot about the incumbent Frank. Given this knowledge of Rep. Frank, unless Bielat opens his rallies with 'Sieg Heil' or 'Praise Lucifer,' I have to question the sanity of the Massachusetts voters.

A brief history. Barney Frank was at the forefront in pushing the quasi-government enterprise Fannie Mae to get involved in more and more questionable mortgage loans prior to the financial crisis. He resisted all attempts to rein in the systemic risks associated with Fannie Mae's activities, despite repeated warnings. I submit the following video as a memory refresher (for Democrats):

Views Askew

By Da King Published: October 26, 2010

View Clueless - During a discussion of the Juan Williams firing by NPR, one of the ladies on The View, Joy Behar, defended NPR by saying NPR has been "vetted by objective Media Matters types." I kid you not. Behar's statement is equivalent to saying "liberals agree that liberals are objective." Media Matters is lots of things, but "objective" is not one of them. You may remember from my last post that George Soros just gave Media Matters a million bucks to counter Fox News, not to be "objective." Media Matters doesn't even describe themselves as being objective. They define themselves as a “progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.” Media Matters certainly is dedicated to smearing conservatives, even if they have to lie to accomplish it. I bestow upon Joy Behar the Get A Clue award.

Speaking of George Soros, The Wall Street Journal ran an op-ed by Soros which calls for the legalization of marijuana. Much as I might despise the source, the left-wing puppetmaster makes some good points on the subject. Creating organized criminals in the form of drug cartels and filling our prisons with drug offenders are just a few of the negative side effects of marijuana prohibition. Also, anyone in this country who wants to smoke marijuana can still smoke it, regardless of the law. It's time to try something different. The decades long war on drugs has been a complete failure.

President Obama, the former post-partisan, post-racial unifier (alleged), has now become a rabid, partisan race divider. Trying to get out the Latino vote, the Prez said the following:

George Soros, NPR, and Juan Williams

By Da King Published: October 22, 2010

When young Schwartz Gyorgy was collaborating with the National Socialist German Worker's Party in the 1940's, he viewed his actions as merely utilitarian. As Gyorgy helped the National Socialists, or Nazis for short, confiscate the property of Jews, he said he felt no sense of guilt. Gyorgy, who now goes by the name George Soros, said if he hadn't helped the Nazis purify the country, someone else surely would have. Young Soros took property from the Jews and profited from it because he could, end of story. By his own admission, he doesn't lose a wink of sleep over his actions.

Historical Morons

By Da King Published: October 20, 2010

It shouldn't be too much to ask of our political leaders, prospective leaders, and media pundits that they have some knowledge of the founding documents and history of this country, such as the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration Of Independence.

But apparently, it is too much to ask.

Does The Government Create Jobs ?

By Da King Published: October 19, 2010

There is an editorial in today's Akron Beacon Journal written by Mark K. Cassell, an associate professor of political science at Kent State University, titled 'Guess what? Government really does create jobs, millions of them'. Cassell takes issue with statements made by several Republicans that the government does not create jobs. Here's the professor's first point:

Obama Calls Americans Fearful And Ignorant Again

By Da King Published: October 18, 2010

The super-sized ego of Barack Obama can only conceive of one reason why Americans might reject his policies - we're just too stupid to comprehend his brilliance. In the President's eyes, we are craven, fear-filled creatures who grasp onto illogical and destructive ideas rather than face the illuminating truths being espoused by Obama the Lightworker. We're rather like Gollum (pictured above) from J.R. Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, pitiful and ignorant wretches who bitterly cling to Our Precious, things like guns and religion. We are suspicious of others, of anything that might threaten our backwards, unenlightened way of life. We know the President thinks these things, because he has said so in the past.

Bottom-Feeders

By Da King Published: October 17, 2010

I can't wait for election day to get here, if only to stop the flood of negative campaign attack ads from assaulting my senses. I'm never more convinced that we need to limit government than I am just before election time, when politicians prove beyond a doubt what dishonest bottom-feeders they really are. This election cycle is certainly no different. It seems each election cycle gets worse than the previous one.

I submit this campaign ad from Canada as my entry for best (or worst) negative attack ad:

Fear And Loathing In The White House

By Da King Published: October 14, 2010

When the Supreme Court rightly struck down an unconstitutional provision of McCain-Feingold that banned corporations, unions, and other groups of people from running political campaign ads 90 days prior to elections, liberal Democrats were outraged. They were certain that rich and powerful corporations would drown out other political voices on television and radio. Naturally, that has not happened. We've all seen plenty of political ads from all across the spectrum this election cycle, as always. Of course, the left's Chicken Little routine regarding campaign ads wasn't really about corporate-funded campaign ads at all. It was really about liberal Democrats knowledge that their anti-business stances on so many political issues would lead to the business sector supporting Republicans, which is exactly what is happening. The only Democrats garnering much support from business are of the Blue Dog variety, meaning they are conservative to moderate, not liberal. The liberal outrage over the McCain-Feingold provision being struck down was about censorship of dissenting voices, nothing more.

Unlike normal people, liberals don't seem to understand the connection between being anti-business and being anti-job, even though they are pretty much the same thing. Normal people realize businesses create jobs, and punishing the business sector will reduce job creation, none too wise when unemployment is stuck near 10%. Liberals think the government creates jobs, or something. Lord knows, I can't figure out what they are thinking.

The Dance Of The Envious

By Da King Published: October 2, 2010

The Tenth Commandment - "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's."

It seems God thought this anti-coveting thing was pretty important. After all, he only gave Moses ten rules for the people to follow, and the rule against coveting made the cut. Why ? Well, for one thing, if everybody was running around coveting the possessions of everyone else, it could lead to some pretty bad outcomes. Coveting, aka envy, is one of the Seven Deadly Sins for a reason. A world full of coveters is a world full of resentment, and that eats at a person like a cancer. God's anti-coveting Commandment goes a long way toward preventing the breaking of other Commandments, such as - Thou Shalt Not Steal and Thou Shalt Not Murder. It also keeps your neighbor's hands off your wife, the No Adultery Commandment. In the world of criminology, coveting is known as THE MOTIVE.

Alan Grayson Worships Satan

By Da King Published: October 1, 2010

If you haven't seen Rep. Alan Grayson's (D-FL) dishonest 'Taliban Dan' campaign ad, where he takes the words of his Republican congressional opponent, Daniel Webster, out of context and twists them into meaning exactly the opposite of what his opponent was really saying, click on the link above to get the story.

Anyone familiar with Grayson knows he is a childish rhetorical bomb-thrower and a despicable liar, which made him the toast of lib-town for awhile (MSNBC nutjob Ed Schultz even wanted Obama to hire Grayson as his speechwriter), but I think even the liberals are tiring of his sorry antics. Contessa Brewer of the same MSNBC took him to task for the disgusting Taliban Dan ad, in which Grayson also likened Christians to the Taliban, a sure sign of a warped mind at work.
