Jim Furyk reaches the turn, remains in the lead by 3 shots

Jim Furyk started his round late due to the rain at Firestone Country Club this morning, but he has extended his lead to 3 over Louis Oosthuizen.

Furyk birdied the first three holes then bogeyed No. 6. He is at 13 under for the tournament. Oosthuizen birdied the first two holes but gave the shots back with bogeys on Nos. 5 and 9. He is at 10 under.

Players return to the course at Bridgestone following delay

Players have returned to Firestone South following a two-hour, 48-minute delay.

Leader Jim Furyk and Louie Oosthuizen (12:40 p.m. restart) have each birdied the first two holes and now stand at -13 and -12 for the tournament, respectively.

PGA Tour announces restart of final round for noon

Bridgestone Invitational will restart at noon

Gates have already been reopened and the final round of the Bridgestone Invitational will resume at noon following a 2 hour, 43 minute rain delay.

Play suspended in final round of Bridgestone Invitational

Heavy rains with scattered thunderstorms has caused the final round of the Bridgestone Invitational to be suspended this morning.

The forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms into the early afternoon.

Furyk (-11), Oosthuizen (-10) lead the field after Round 3

Jim Furyk recorded par on 16 holes, one birdie and one bogey for an even par round to enter Sunday's fourth round with a one-stroke lead at -11.

Louie Oosthuizen shot a two-under 68 to pull within one shot of Furyk, including a key birdie on the par-5 No. 16.

Furyk makes turn Saturday with three-stroke lead

Jim Furyk played a bogey-less front nine with one birdie on the par-5 second hole and now holds a three-stroke lead over Louis Oosthuizen, who is one under for the day through 12holes.

Keegan Bradley and Steve Stricker are tied for third at -7. Stricker has birdied three of the last six holes (Nos. 8-13).

Bridgestone Sunday tee times moved up due to poor weather forecast

 Due to the forecast for Sunday, players will be placed in threesomes from both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees with beginning tee times at 8 a.m. in the hopes that the fourth round can be completed as early as possible. 

Officials for the PGA are expecting "suspensions throughout the day."

Furyk continues roll to lead after two rounds

Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods each carried momentum into the second round of the Bridgestone Invitational. That meant the best 36-hole score for Furyk in his PGA Tour career, and the worst start for Woods in nearly fourth months.

Furyk had another good day with the putter, making a few birdies early and saving par from the bunker four times on the back nine at Firestone for a 4-under 66 and a two-shot lead over Rafa Cabrera-Bello of Spain.

Bubba Watson shoots 66 for early lead with two others

Bubba Watson birdied his final two holes to finish his first round with a 66 to take the early lead along with Jason Donald and Ben Crane in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Watson had five birdies and an eagle on No. 2 to go with three bogeys.

Lunch update from Bridgestone Thursday

K.T. Kim of South Korea and Lee Westwood currently hold a share of the lead at -4.

Westwood is through 12 holes and has birdied his last two, the Par-5 No. 2 and the par-4 No. 3. Kim just birdied No. 16, what seems to be very playable hole today.
