Whatever happend to former Ohio State linebacker Andrew Sweat? After his career with the Buckeyes, Sweat signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns.
But following concerns about concussions, Sweat abruptly retired from football.
Following his career, he enrolled in law school. Earlier this week Sweat participated in an AMA (ask-me-anything) on Reddit. Here are some of the highlights:
How Ohio State should deal with Michigan State, which beat the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game:
I would go back to the way OSU played football. Sparty beat us by playing tough nosed Big ten football. controlling the ball and playing great defense.. Tressel ball
On co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell:
He is like a second dad to me. Loved him every since he recruited me out of high school. He was the main reason I came to OSU. In my opinion he is the best linebacker coach in the country. He is soo passionate and knowledgeable. In my opinion, he is one of the best coaches in America.
What it was like to be a football player at a football-crazed university:
It was tougher to fly under the radar when you started to play. I roomed with Terrelle Pryor and he is one of my best friends. By constantly being with him, I observed how crazy it can get. Although I don't discriminate against beautiful women giving you attention.
On going to law school:
It is tough. I've implemented a lot of the skills that made me a great athlete into my academics. It is easier to just balance school. I don't have to worry about competing at the highest level on the athletic field anymore
His favorite stadium to, uh, relieve himself in:
Iowa because it had a pink bathroom
