There are roughly 436 college football trophies handed out each year. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller now has one for the 2013 season.
Miller was awarded the Tribune Silver Football for the second consecutive year. The award, which has been around before the Heisman Trophy, goes to the top Big Ten player.
The award is chosen by Big Ten head coaches. Since coaches can't vote for players on their own team, Miller appeared on 10 of 11 ballots.
Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland finished second and Buckeyes running back Carlos Hyde was third.
If Miller decides to go back to OSU for his senior season, he could become the first player to ever win the award three times.
