Generally, mascots and their lifeless, smiling faces are terrifying. So when one happens to get leveled, it's quite the event.
When Brutus Buckeye was creamed during spring practice, it became newsworthy (hey, it's April, what do you want?). So much so that it landed on SportsCenter. If you haven't seen it, here's the clip from the gang at Eleven Warriors.
Who is it that layed the hit on our dear giant-headed mascot? It was freshman linebacker David Perkins. If Perkins can take down Big Ten running backs the same way he form tackled Brutus, Ohio State has a bright future.
Of course, it doesn't help that Brutus probably weighs 160 pounds, 20 of which is all cranium.
But seriously, how great is this photo?
Next year, someone tell Brutus proper ball carrying technique. Three points of pressure, Brutus.
