Ohio State is now in play for Michigan State defensive end commit Darius Slade.
According to the Newark Star Ledger, Slade will not sign a National Letter of Intent with Michigan State and will visit Ohio State the weekend of Feb. 15.
As the Star Ledger notes, Slade's cousins played for new Ohio State assistant coach Larry Johnson at Penn State.
Ohio State will hold a scholarship for Slade, who is rated as the No. 40 strong-side defensive end and No. 873 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Watch out for Darius Slade as a late signee to Ohio State. Was supposed to officially visit last week, but didn't. Visiting soon. #ScoutNSD— Bill Greene (@BillBankGreene) February 5, 2014
