According to several reports, Ohio State is adding two new coaches on defense.
The deals have not been announced by the school, but the school will add Arkansas defensive coordinator Chris Ash and Penn State defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch reports that Ash will be the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach. He would fit the hole left by the departure of Everett Withers, who became head coach at James Madison.
Johnson is expected to fill the defensive line coach position that was vacated when Mike Vrabel became the linebackers coach for the Houston Texans.
As Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated points out, Johnson had seven first-team All-Americans at Penn State. Johnson is reknowned as a top recruiter, particularly in the Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. area.
