According to the Columbus Dispatch, Ohio State center Brian Bobek has decided to transfer.
Bobek, a sophomore, was surpassed on the depth chart by junior Corey Linsley and freshman Jacoby Boren. In a statement, Bobek said he is contemplating a team in the Big 12 (believed to be West Virginia) or teams in the Big Ten.
Bobek was highly sought after out of high school as a four-star recruit. He played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was a Parade All-American.
Where Bobek plays next is uncertain. His brother, Jeff, is a senior fullback at Michigan State.
As theOZone.net points out, Bobek is the eighth player since Urban Meyer became head coach who has left the program.
