Ohio State's 2014 recruiting class may already be at 22 players, but the class isn't closed out.
The Buckeyes are still waiting to hear from consensus five-star defensive lineman Malik McDowell from Michigan. His mother, Joya Crowe, told the Detroit Free Press she doesn't her son playing at Michgan State.
McDowell is expected to make his decision at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Along with Ohio State and Michigan State, his suitors are Florida State and Michigan.
The Buckeyes are also waiting on a pair of offensive linemen in Roderick Johnson and Jamarco Jones. Many recruiting analysts believe Johnson is choosing between the Seminoles and the Buckeyes. Jones, who is a "soft" verbal to OSU, is reportedly down to the Spartans and Buckeyes. Johnson is expected to announce his choice at 10 a.m.
Ohio State is also still in play for defensive end Solomon Thomas. Rated as the nation's No. 31 overall recruit by 247Sports, Thomas is expected to make his decision at 8:50 a.m. on ESPNU.
