Ohio State's 2013 spring game could be held in Cincinnati
Ohio State University is in discussion wtih the Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County to bring next year's spring football game to Paul Brown Stadium.
The game is scheduled for April 13, which coincides with renovation work being done at Ohio Stadium.
"We look forward to continuing our discussions and look forward to an opportunity to bring the Buckeyes into Cincinnati and closer to our Southern Ohio fans," Director of Athletics Gene Smith said in a release.
Having the spring game could also be beneficial for the recruiting process. Some of the top players from Ohio come out of the Cincinnati area and top high schools Elder, Moeller and St. Xavier.
Areas of decks A and C will be worked on for the first time since 1922, the school said in the release.
Ohio State last played at Paul Brown Stadium in 2002 and beat the University of Cincinnati 23-19.
