Backup Ohio State safety Jayme Thompson is transferring from the school.
In news first broke by Justin Rowland of Rivals, Thompson was granted a release from his scholarship.

Thompson redshirted last season after injuring his ankle in preseason practice. Thompson participated in Ohio State's spring game on Saturday.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Thompson was stuck on the depth chart behind safeties redshirt sophomore Tyvis Powell and sophomores Vonn Bell and Cam Burrows.
