Ohio State has scheduled a home-and-home series with TCU beginning in 2018.
Unless the schools first meet in a bowl game, they'll be playing each other in football for the first time since 1973.
According to a press release, the first game will be on Sept. 15, 2018 when the Buckeyes travel to Fort Worth and Amon Carter Stadium. The Horned Frogs will be at Ohio Stadium on Sept. 21, 2019.
Ohio State leads the all-time series between the teams 4-1-1, the release noted.
The Horned Frogs have developed into one of the better teams in college football. Since 2008, TCU has gone 51-5 and moved from the Mountain West Conference to the Big 12.
There were reports last week that Ohio State may cut back on the amount of Mid-American Conference teams its plays. From a competition standpoint, a win against an automatic bowl qualifier improve their chances of making the new FBS playoffs.
