Ohio State's defensive line has taken a blow during the offseason.
The latest came over the weekend with the suspension of redshirt freshman defensive end Tracy Sprinkle was suspended indefinitely after being arrested and booked on charges of possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and rioting/failure to disperse.
Although Sprinkle wasn't expected to be a big contributor for the Buckeyes, it's another loss on the defensive line. Jamal Marcus was dismissed from the team (and landed at Akron) and Noah Spence is suspended the first two games of the season.
The Buckeyes will rely heavily on sophomore Joey Bosa at one defensive end spot. Junior Adolphus Washington should be the starter on the other side, but has been inconsistent for the Buckeyes. He did have four sacks in the spring game, though, so he could be on the verge of a breakout season. To read more or comment...
