The Columbus Dispatch reported that the Ohio State quarterback recruiting carousel for 2014 took a turn earlier this week when Kyle Allen of Scottsdale, Ariz., said that he had committed to Texas A&M, and Brandon Harris — another Buckeyes target — subsequently bid the Aggies adieu.
Harris was at Ohio State last weekend for an unofficial visit and then to take part in the Elite 11 quarterback camp regional. Several recruiting analysts have said they expect Harris to choose between Texas A&M and LSU, though he said he had impressive unofficial visits to Alabama and Ohio State last week.
He has said he will not announce his choice until July 18. Zack Darlington of Apopka, Fla., is the other QB with an OSU offer. He said he intends to make unofficial visits to Nebraska and Ohio State this week.
