According to various reports, Ohio State has added its 17th football recruit for the 2013 class.
On Thursday, North Carolina defensive end Tyquan Lewis committed to the Buckeyes. Lewis, who is 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, had 63 tackles and 12 sacks a season ago.
Lewis, who plays for Tarboro High School, is the fifth defensive lineman to commit to OSU in this class. But he did tell ESPN.com (Insider) that he sees himself as a linebacker. Lewis told the Columbus Dispatch he would be used in the hybrid rocker position to rush the quarterback and drop back in coverage.
Rivals.com rates Lewis as a four-star player. Scout.com has him as a three-star player.
Lewis reportedly picked OSU over LSU and North Carolina. He also had offers from Auburn, Clemson and Duke, among others.
