Buckeyes defensive end Jamal Marcus transferring

By Dan Kadar Published: May 27, 2014

Junior defensive end Jamal Marcus is transferring from Ohio State, several news outlets have reported this week.

With Marcus gone, the Buckeyes are down to the NCAA required 82 scholarship players. The Buckeyes are still under NCAA sanction, keeping them from filling a full 85 scholarships.

Ohio State sends 12 to the NFL, but which will have the best success early?

By Dan Kadar Published: May 15, 2014

From linebacker Ryan Shazier in the first round to Chris Fields signing as an undrafted free agent, Ohio State sent 12 players to the pros in last week's NFL Draft.

Selected by: Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 15 overall

Shazier should immediately step into Pittsburgh's starting lineup next to Lawrence Timmons at inside linebacker. With his speed and athleticism, Shazier will give the Steelers a versatile playmaker on defense who can line up in multiple positions.
