College football preview magazines are starting to hit the shelves, and Sporting News has some high praise for Ohio State players.
Senior guard Pat Elflein and junior middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan are touted as first-team All-Americans in the preview magazine. Junior quarterback J.T. Barrett and senior punter Cameron Johnston are on second team.
The Buckeyes are ranked by Sporting News as the No. 4 team in the nation, behind Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma. That ranking comes despite Ohio State losing 16 starters from last season.To read more or comment...

According to multiple reports, backup quarterback Stephen Collier is out for the season due to a torn ACL. The news was first reported by Eleven Warriors and confirmed by other outlets.
Collier, a redshirt sophomore, was competing with redshirt freshman Joe Burrow to be the team's primary backup. WIth this injury, the only other scholarship quarterback on the roster is freshman Dwayne Haskins, who enrolls in June.To read more or comment...
Former Ohio State and Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed Saturday night in an apparent road rage incident following a traffic accident in New Orleans.
According to the Associated Press, Smith died of multiple gunshot wounds. Smith was 34.
Smith's wife Racquel was riding with him and was shot in the leg. She was taken to a local hospital, according to the AP. The couple have three children.
Smith posted a photo of himself and Racquel on his Instagram account hours before his death with the caption, "Having a blast at the #fqf2016," in reference to the city's French Quarter Fest.To read more or comment...
Ohio State has suspended redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle after he was charged with cocaine possession.
Doug Lesmerises of Cleveland.com first reported the story over the weekend. Lorain Police were called to the Grown & Sexy Lounge on Friday night and found Sprinkle among a group of 50 people in an altercation outside.
After Sprinkle was arrested and put in a squad car, two small bags of cocaine were found underneath a seat. He was also charged with failure to disperse.
Sprinkle was suspended indefinitely by the school on Sunday.To read more or comment...

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell opened Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer's Real Life Wednesday series, speaking to about 350 at the Fawcett Center Auditorium. Invited to participate were athletes from all 36 varsity sports and administrators.
Goodell talked for about 40 minutes, taking questions and also responding to comments from Troy Vincent, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations.
