Starting this weekend at Paris' Porte de Versailles exhibition center, the world's coolest collector car swap/tradeshow will begin its annual ten day run. Enthusiasts from around the world will descend upon the City of Lights for the 33
rd annual edition of Retromobile.
Manufacturers, suppliers, private vendors, collectors and clubs all gather to display and sell everything imaginable in the collectable automobile hobby. Being that it is set in Paris, it's a special treat for American attendees to see vehicles that were never brought to the United States. I know French cars never had a stellar reputation in our country but, like their wine, the French have always kept their best cars for themselves.
Speaking of French wine, vendors of this fine beverage are liberally located amongst the various parts, literature and toy sellers purveying their precious potable. The free flowing samples make this wonderful event even more enjoyable. If you've only been to the beer and brats swap meets we're used to here in the States, I encourage you to visit Retromobile at least once. You'll definitely be hooked.
