Ohio gets a "D" for openness, efforts to prevent corruption

The Center for Public Integrity reviewed the availability of public records and ethics policies across the country to determine the ease with which citizens can examine public action.

The study placed Ohio among 18 states receiving a "D" in analysis of  transparency, accountability and anti-corruption mechanisms.

The best states were:  New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, California, and Nebraska.
