How Browns rookie Myles Garrett used 1,435 pounds of evidence to show his foot feels better

Ya know... it's doing alright..

Browns rookie defensive end Myles Garrett is strong enough to repeatedly leg press a full-grown cow.

Oh, and he says his injured left foot is "alright," too.

Garrett suffered a left lateral foot sprain June 14 during mandatory minicamp and recently posted an amusing workout video on Twitter when a fan asked him for an update about his health.

"Speaking of hurt, how's that foot? You ready for that action?" the Twitter user known as "Bearded Browns Fan" asked Garrett.

Browns start training camp July 27, will open 15 practices, Orange & Brown scrimmage to fans

The Browns will open training camp to the public July 27 and allow fans to watch 15 practices at team headquarters in Berea, plus the Orange & Brown Scrimmage on Aug. 4 at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Browns announced their training camp scheduled Tuesday. They also unveiled plans for additional seating for fans and a modified registration process for free tickets.

The Cleveland Browns 2017 training camp will feature 15 free public practices at the team’s facility in Berea, beginning Thursday, July 27, as well as free access to the Orange & Brown Scrimmage at FirstEnergy Stadium on Friday, Aug. 4.

Browns sign tight end David Njoku to rookie contract

Browns rookie tight end David Njoku signed his four-year rookie contract Thursday.

The deal is projected to be worth $9.525 million and include a signing bonus of $5.067 million, according to the contract website The contract contains a team option for a fifth year.

The Browns selected Njoku in the first round (No. 29 overall).

The Browns have signed nine of their 10 picks from this year's draft: Njoku, defensive end Myles Garrett (first round, No. 1), quarterback DeShone Kizer (second round), defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (third), cornerback Howard Wilson (fourth), offensive tackle Rod Johnson (fifth), defensive tackle Caleb Brantley (sixth), kicker Zane Gonzalez (seventh) and running back Matthew Dayes (seventh).

Browns No. 1 overall draft pick Myles Garrett is sitting out practice Thursday as he's still being evaluated at team headquarters in Berea after suffering an injured left foot Wednesday during mandatory minicamp, a team spokesman said.

The Browns consider it a good sign that Garrett walked off the field Wednesday, meaning they probably think the rookie defensive end avoided the dreaded Lisfranc injury.

Guards Joel Bitonio and John Greco suffered Lisfranc injuries last season. The injury requires surgery and typically sidelines NFL players for 10-12 months.
