2013 NFL Scouting Combine: Marc Trestman was 'totally prepared' for interviews with Browns, Bears

Marc Trestman interviewed with the Browns for their head-coaching vacancy on Jan. 8 before the Chicago Bears hired him for the same role and Cleveland hired Rob Chudzinski.
Trestman, who served as the Browns’ quarterbacks coach in 1988 and their offensive coordinator in 1989, spent the past five years as the head coach of the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes.
But even though he hadn’t been in the NFL since 2004, Trestman said he was ready for his shot to impress the Browns and Bears.
“Over the years, I’d always continue to put together a format for an interview process if that opportunity would come up,” Trestman said. “But the opportunity to interview there, in both places, was not only a growing experience, but it was exciting. And I felt totally prepared at the time.”
